Beautiful practical dresses for mum and adorable outfits for your newborn are also available through my client closet. It’s a relaxed, comfortable morning for everyone. There’s no rush, there’s laughs and even a much-needed coffee for mum and dad. Pets are included in my photoshoots too! We can’t forget them.

“I understand how we feel as a mum postpartum. It’s a beautiful yet challenging time.”

I create beautiful angles and am very mindful of how you’re feeling. I edit your tired eyes with a little touch up in photoshop. I want you to be looking your absolute best even if you didn’t sleep the night before.

Booking your photoshoot

  • I recommend that you get in touch with me as soon as you can. As a guide, I’d recommend getting in touch at around your 20 week scan.

Once you have booked in, you will receive a confirmation which includes information about your session, client closet options and preparing for your photoshoot.

There is very minimal preparation your end as I will be coming to your home and be bringing your outfit selections with me.

Having your photoshoot

  • I like to think of my photoshoots as a friend coming into your home for a few hours and documenting your story. I never rush your session. I am very family/baby lead and allow time for easing in, settling and feeding.

I want you to look at your images and think of them as a memorable, relaxed and special morning.

I also want to ensure that my clients understand that I do not expect perfection. There is not a lot I haven’t seen and I am very relaxed with whatever is thrown at me.

You can select your images or you can opt to upgrade to the entire gallery for an additional cost if you wish.

I also have an online print store where you are able to purchase your prints (and frames if you wish) and have them delivered to your door.

Questions and Answers

  • I find many beautiful nooks within a home. Admittedly a lot of my clients have similar aesthetic in their home to my style, however that doesn’t mean we can’t achieve a very similar vibe. Neutral bed linen, greenery, cushions make for wonderful props.

I also ask that you pop any clutter away for your photoshoot. I absolutely appreciate that it’s your home (and not a display home) however minimal is best. Your belongings on side tables, benches - just pop them away for a few hours!

If you need help with styling advice within your home, please reach out! I have many magical tips. You do not have to go out and spend a small fortune on furnishings, home décor to achieve my results.

  • I like to keep my photoshoots very relaxed and as organic as possible. I do bring a selection of heirloom blankets and outfits to work within my aesthetic of the photos while keeping the focus on your family and newborn.

  • I prioritise your baby's comfort and safety above all else, ensuring they are relaxed and content throughout the session to capture natural and adorable poses.

  • You wouldn’t be the first. Let me assure you, it’s very common.

Newborn schedules (for lack of a better term) change daily (hourly). Siblings are adjusting to some big family changes. I have two children so I can assure you that I’ve seen it all.

I do not push anything on to anyone. We will always find a way and work in with the dynamic.

  • I have worked with newborns since 2012 and have trained with a very well trained and reputable Newborn Photographer in Brisbane to ensure the utmost safety. I also have plenty of patience and understand newborn cues as they arise.

  • I am purely an in home photographer. I have a passion for capturing families in the comfort of their own home.

  • A typical newborn photoshoot lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I allow plenty of time for feeding, comforting, and capturing those moments in between.

  • Of course! Parents, siblings and pets are included in your photoshoot package.

  • Safety is my top priority, and I take extra care to handle your newborn gently and securely throughout the entire photoshoot process.

  • Yes, all of my props and equipment are carefully selected (and cleaned) to ensure they are safe and comfortable for your newborn.

  • I understand that newborns can be unpredictable, and I'm experienced in soothing and comforting them to ensure a calm and relaxed atmosphere during the session.

  • Being a lifestyle photographer, my style is very relaxed.

If your preference is to capture your newborn when they’re the sleepiest and more posed, then I recommend that you book within the first two weeks of your baby's birth.

However, I photograph newborns and babies of any age so if you would like to settle in at home a little longer then that is absolutely fine too.

  • I recommend that you get in touch as soon as you can. A lot of clients tend to get in touch after their 12 or 20 week scan. I am known to book out in advance, so the sooner you can get in touch, the better.

  • While I encourage you to book in advance, I understand that sometimes circumstances require last-minute arrangements, and I do my best to accommodate whenever possible.

  • I try to keep my packages very simple. I offer a package which includes 1.5 - 2.5 hours of my time, a client wardrobe for both the mother and newborn as well as 25 carefully edited images using my aesthetic.

If you wish to upgrade to the entire gallery, a fee is then applied to that.

    • Are there additional fees for travel outside of Brisbane?

Yes, I quote individually for travel on top of my package. I can travel to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

    • Do you offer any discounts for multiple sessions or referrals?

My clientele and regular clients are always looked after as I am forever grateful for their support.

  • In an ideal world, it is 2 hours. However, I don’t rush the process. That won’t make for beautiful, natural photos.

When I arrive, I will ease in and chat with you. We will talk about how you are, how your family is and how you’re feeling. I have two kids so I can absolutely appreciate the sheer chaos and sleep deprivation. Throw in a photoshoot and it’s hectic.

I’ll then look around your home and find spots that we agree on. I am often looking for natural light, soft furnishings.

From there, we will discuss the photoshoot. If there are siblings involved, I like to get a feel for how they are feeling. If they’re a little apprehensive, I like to ease them in (while still involving them) so they can see what is happening. If they’re super excited, then I’ll photograph them straight away (as it’ll wear off quite quickly too).

I am very baby/family lead and will always find a way to capture the entire family based on personality, restrictions and schedules.

  • I edit all of my photos. Rarely I might outsource to a photo editor to help with more advanced touch ups.

However, please keep in mind that because I take my time to edit each and every photo - my turnaround time is generally 14 days and on occasion it could be more.

I edit in both Lightroom and Photoshop and every single image is my masterpiece and your memory to cherish. I would typically spend more time on an image than most as I am very big on detail.

I want you to adore these images and share, print and frame them!

  • Absolutely! After your session, you'll have the opportunity to upgrade to the entire gallery if you wish.
